Great investigation. Large building-so we got to use some different equipment.
First floor- I used a motion detector in the hallway, and it went off about four different times. Nobody was in the hallway. We tried to set it off where we where at ( a room off of the hallway) wasnt able to recreate it. I got some reallly odd sensations in the hallway and by the door to the hallway- just a general discomfort.
Second floor-I was sitting in the hallway on the floor, leaning up against a door. I felt the door very slightly vibrate. (Believed this to be a vibration from a large vehicle on the street.
Third floor- Felt panicky in a hallway, like somone was standing too close to me. Heard footsteps in another room dismissed it to a leaky roof- although im not totally convienced of that. Did catch this on my DVR. Also caught EVP while upstairs- still reviewing this audio piece. I will post it soon. Again got a general discomfort upstairs.
Basement- I didnt have any experiences of feeling in the basement. It was "creepy" because it has dirt floors with low ceiling. And lots of spider webs.
I truly enjoyed this investigation and I am looking forward to going back. No photo anomalies taken. Again will post EVP soon.

I also really enjoyed this investigation, and I can't wait to go back!
I teamed up with Laura and Lisa this time. I used my digital camera, K-II meter, and my iPod nano to record audio for the first time. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary in any of my digital photos, but I did have a few hits with the K-II, and I recorded some strange things with my iPod. I also experienced creepy feelings in several locations throughout the building.
We started on the 3rd floor where there's no electricity. We heard some strange noises but attributed them to mice, bats, or some other type of little critter. Anyway, there was one room which we entered, where Lisa and I both got goose-bumps immediately. It was in this room where we caught a very good EVP in response to a request Lisa made. We also discovered some rather intriguing (and frankly, disturbing) graffiti which related to the gentleman who used to live in the apartment on the third floor. Otherwise, I experienced some creepy feelings up there, but not much else seemed to be happening at the time.
Next we went to the basement. I didn't particularly experience anything down there. I expected that the basement may have high EMF readings due to old wiring, but it didn't. The storage room however did have very high EMF readings associated with an electrical box. It lit up the K-II and buried the needle on the EMF detector. This could contribute to general feelings of creepiness in that back hall area. Speaking of the back hall, we sat there for quite a long time for an EVP session. We had a couple of unexplained spikes on the EMF meter, and it was during one of these where I picked up something on my audio recording. Unfortunately, I was unable to make out what the EVP may have said. I was sitting at the base of the back stairwell and I felt very creepy. I kept looking up the stairs, half expecting to see something appear, but nothing ever did. The building owner had reported an employee seeing a full-bodied apparition in this stairwell at one point in time. Again, rather unfortunately, I didn?t see anything. This is the same hallway where Robin and Jim experienced the motion detector going off.
Finally, the whole group gathered on the second floor for an EVP session. I was sitting on the floor in the hallway and happened to be the furthest westward on the floor. I kept feeling like something was just past me down the hall. I snapped several photographs, but I didn?t catch anything anomalous. I felt very odd though and I was surprised that I didn?t see anything because I kept expecting to.
Overall, I was quite pleased with this investigation. I wish we had been able to catch more, but I thought the evidence we did find was quite good. I?m very anxious to return to this location and investigate further.
This was really a fun evening. I have to admit my scepticism at first, but that's part of my job I guess. Our team was split into 2 teams of 3. My team began on the 3rd floor. 3rd Floor: No electricity is wired there as it is practically a condemned area. At one time, work had begun to restore the space, but was never finished. Lisa, Dana and I were exploring the various rooms. Several recording devices and cameras were being utilized. I felt somewhat of an uneasiness in a couple of the rooms but had no odd experiences...until I listened to my recording session. Upon the replay, I found an odd response to a comment Lisa had made. There is a few seconds delay after Lisa requested it walk by the K2 meter before you hear a very clear whisper, then another delay before you hear another response in the same whispering voice. A minute and a half later, I asked for it to let us know that it was there if it wanted to. Just as I turned on my EMF detector, the same whispering voice is again heard with a response to my request. Listen to the attachments of #1 HP and #2 HP.
1st Floor: The 3 of us moved to the 1st floor at about 12:30am. We again explored the area then settled in the back hallway where claims of unexplained noises were heard. After sitting for about 30 min, taking pictures and recording audio, my EMF detector began to show there was some kind of activity. The 3 people present had not changed their locations or equipment at that time. The activity on the EMF lasted 18 seconds, then quieted as normal. 45 minutes into investigating this particular area, we began to hear noises toward the front of the building. Lisa got up to find out who or what was making the noises (We initially thought it was the other group upstairs coming down). I got up just after Lias did to investigate these noises. As I walked by the closet door at the end of the hall, I was startled by a banging on the door. It sounded like someone had hit the door with their hand. I know I had not touched it.
2nd Floor: Before we left for the night, we decided to all sit in the hallway on the 2nd floor and attempt to communicate with whoever may have been there. I had no impressions of any activity, nor did I capture any evidence in that area.
I hope to return to do a follow-up investigation there in the near future. Stay posted for future updates on this building.
I found this investigation very interesting. I was surprised at the experiences and evidence the members had. There were 2 places where I felt there was some strange feelings. Both on the third floor hours apart.
Laura, Dana and I teamed up for this investigation and we started on the third floor, which is unfinished, with no electricity. During the walkthrough with the owner, the K-2 jumped a few times, but nothing significant. It didn't occur again during the investigation. I was using a camcorder, uv light, digital recorder. I leave these items running pretty much constantly. And as Dana pointed out, we did hear a lot of noises but attributed them to the hole in the roof. Now I would like to add that the other team did not hear any of these noises. I have 2 pictures that I think caught 'something' but need to discuss with the team to get their opinion.
At 12:30 we moved downstairs to the first floor, and the basement. I didn't get any feelings of discomfort on the first floor at all. We checked out the basement after we did a emf sweep which turned up a large area that was very strong around the electrical boxes. That could explain the uneasy feelings people have in this back storage area. The basement was creepy, but I attribute this to the dirt floor and cobwebs. We didn't spend a lot of time down there. We moved back up to the first floor where we set up for an evp session in the back hallway where there were several experiences. We spread out along the whole back hallway. I sat with my back against the closet door that has been noted to have banging noises and opening of the door. We had the camcorder focused on the K-2in case we got responses to our question. I got a couple of strange evps which I will post after I cut them out of the whole.
The group then came back together and did an evp session on the second floor. I got no evidence at all from this area. We decided to pack up and head out after we were done with this.
I really enjoyed this investigation and would like to return again sometime to see if we can get more evidence.
This was a very interesting old building, with a mix of the old and the new. I found no solid photo or audio evidence, although there are a couple of odd noises in my EVP audio that need further review but are probably nothing unusual.
The paper sign that was hanging on a chain, which seemed to move on it's own, I believe to have been a result of random air currents. The air in this room was dead still at the time, as no heating or cooling fans were running anywhere in the building. Small air currents caused be a person walking by, or even breathing in proximity to the sign seemed to be enough to set it in motion.
The motion detector was an interesting puzzle. At times, it seemed to react to a person walking past the adjacent doorway, which was on the very edge of the detector's field of view. At other times, it would not react to a person, or would seem to trigger randomly with no motion in the area. I can not say for certain that it was responding to any questions asked. Motion detectors can be unreliable on the very edge of the field of view, but this would probably not explain why it would trigger with no motion at all. This was in the hallway area where people have reported experiences.
I had no personal experiences, but I believe that this site may warrant further study.
